My much beloved Tag Suggest Thing does indeed work with WordPress 2.5. It just doesn’t LOOK like it’s working.

Wait. Let me back up a bit and explain. The plugin suggests tags using the Yahoo! term extraction api. You click “get tag suggestions” then either click the term or “add all”. With previous versions of WordPress and the Tag Suggest Thing, the suggested tags were auto-inserted into the WordPress tags form. With WordPress 2.5, this does not LOOK like it is happening. The tag line remains blank.

HOWEVER.

The tags are still being inserted, as you’ll learn when you click the handy dandy little “add” tag in the WordPress tags box. You’ll have to deselect “add new tag”, but that’s a small price to pay for a bit of laziness.

Now go forth and be tagless no more.
