1. Are you superstitious?
Well, you know I had to get the definition of the word.
An irrational belief that an object, action, or circumstance not logically related to a course of events influences its outcome.
No.
A belief, practice, or rite irrationally maintained by ignorance of the laws of nature or by faith in magic or chance.
I do believe in magic.
A fearful or abject state of mind resulting from such ignorance or irrationality.
Idolatry.
Nope.
2. What extremes have you heard of someone going to in the name of superstition?
Sports fans who think their actions can influence the outcome of a play. For example–the guy who thinks that if he can snarf an entire hotdog before the batter reaches first base will cause the runner to be safe/out. Yeah, it’s a pretty tame “extreme” but I don’t really pay attention to stuff like that.
3. Believer or not, what’s your favorite superstition?
That if a black cat crosses your path, it’s bad luck.
4. Do you believe in luck? If yes, do you have a lucky number/article of clothing/ritual?
I believe in (get ready for the $50 words) Serendipitous Synchronicity. Not luck.
5. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not?
Yes, to some extent. I do believe it can give you serious insight as to factors of your personality, and why you do the (sometimes dumb) things you do. However, I do NOT believe that astrology is an end-all be-all answer to everything.
